So it seemed to be a good idea to share some of the bright (or maybe not-so-bright) ideas we've had - and maybe if anyone reads this they can share their ideas, or comment on the ones posted here.
We've just changed our caravan for a new Bailey Pegasus GT65 Genoa, so the process has started all over again. We've had to give in to the rear washroom - not too bad a waste of space in this 'van as it is quite compact. We have managed to avoid a fixed bed - that would have involved a new car, and we didn't want one anyway. Advancing years has, however, led us to have a mover for the first time, with the associated challenges to the payload, so this is where we start.
Hi Bob love your blog and the mods bailey should be watching using you ideas !, I have a deposit on a Gt65 Ancona and take delivery next thursday! but I have been reading very scary posts about GT65 owners experiencing extreme noise form the whale space heater when running on gas. We really only use our existing van on rallying and never have EHU, so we would be using just the gas setting our van has the Whale 4kw heater the same as yours I believe. I wonder if you could share your experience with me regarding the Whale space heater. Many Thanks John
ReplyDeleteYes, I think it is a bit noisy on gas, with the blown flues as well as the normal heater fan. I also worry what it would do to battery life. Lovely caravan apart from that.
